Shoah Monument
A group of new sculptures by Jasper Krabbé will been unveiled in Diemen, just fifteen minutes from the centre of Amsterdam.
SHOAH MONUMENT
This sculptural installation of bronzes stands as a quiet space for remembrance and reflection.
While it acknowledges those from Diemen who were taken during the Second World War, the work transcends its historical context — speaking instead to the broader themes of loss, resilience, and the enduring human need for compassion.
At once intimate and public, the sculptures invite contemplation on the fragility of peace and the urgency of empathy — an unambiguous anti-war statement by the artist.
Location: Van Gemertplantsoen (next to Diemen Station)
Viewable from November 2025 onwards.
